Rather thing we need alot more casual in comic books these days than everyone being so serious at all times, hell someone has to learn to take a break, lol.
Kudos to you for thinking outside the box though with these famous DC characters guinnessyde, think your were right to point out how much different someone can be when you take them out of their usual comic hero element.
Looking at your lines though, damn think you'd be on of the artists from the comic books themselves how your lines capture perfect their anatomy from long and strong looking legs to the cute expressions on their faces, excellent job.
Fantastic work on how you posed them too. Really showing off the closeness between them as they squish together for the photo and personal thumbs up to having some other things squish together, bravo.
Plus great job on the expression work again, rather like when Kory is shown much more for her normal cuteness and even more to the pinched lips to really show some amusement with Wondergirl too, lol.
Along with some nice shading like on Wondergirl's boots to better show off their shiny nature to even nailing the puffy and curly take for Starfire's hair, this is a great pic and please keep up the lighter side of drawing guinnessyde, nuff said.
Nuff said, indeed! That is the most gratifying analysis of my work ever, thank you! Yeah, the comics I've always loved are things like Giffen, DeMatteis, and Maguire's Justice League and Wolfman/Perez' New Teen Titans because they were so infused with great characterization and personality not usually found super-hero comics. And my love for drawing people helped as well. I treat these characters like real people that interact. With this piece, we all know that Donna is an Earth girl which means she's prone to Earth-girl-like behavior. Perez always drew Kory with both stunning beauty with a level of naiveté so that was my approach. This pose makes sense for these two characters. But I am so glad you like it. Definitely expect more. Thanks again!!!
Wow really? Seriously you gotta be pulling this crab's leg, this level of style and finesse and you don't have people throwing some deserving comments your way, what the cuss?
That's smart you take into account the way you want to make your characters alive. Was watching a documentary on Disney and Pixar and the best artists they had there said its how real and alive you make your character is what makes truly great art.
Oh your more than welcome and it sounds well that your a big fan of the Titans and the way the comics portray them as. Kudos you again to having so flexibility with them here and showing them more than just superheroes but as people too. Hats off to you sir and a pleasure checking out your talented artwork.
That's why Pixar puts out the best product. There's a lot of soul and heart injected into them. And I am actually a big fan of DC in general. So much so that I gave this new DC relaunch an open-minded and optimistic chance. Imagine my disappointment with some of the things they've put out after-the-fact. But I digress. Many Deviants have been very generous with their comments. I really appreciate your detailed input. I'm sure I'll belt out some more sketches, so always feel free to comment.
Sounds like your an inspired artist yourself and keep up that positive attitude when it comes to something new, can relate to what you must have felt about the new DC launch but hey keeping positive ain't so bad, lol.
A pleasure to have guinnessyde, always nice to talk a deviant or two when throwing comments around here and there. ^O^
